Pat Taplin - a truly amazing woman, whose life touched so many others: as wife, mother and grandmother; as friend, teacher and mentor; as actress, director and producer. She lived for her family, friends - and the theatre. Patrica Mary Taplin: 10th August, 1928 - 30th April, 2012. Pat leaves a huge legacy behind her, which we want to remember and honour through this Tribute Fund. We remember her incredible generosity, optimism and love of life, which lasted right until the end. We remember her deep love of family and the overwhelming pride she took in the achievements of her children and grandchildren. We remember her passion for the theatre, and for making theatre fresh and exciting to watch. We remember the people she encouraged and nurtured to take their first steps into theatre - from the children who took part in her school pantomimes, to the adults, young and old, who caught some of her passion and were set off on their own paths through her productions. We remember her ability to bring people together and to create fun and laughter around her. We remember her love of travel and her joy at experiencing different cultures - particularly India and the Mediterranean. We remember her parties - there was always an excuse for a party - and her amazing Christmas dinners - how could bread sauce be made to taste that good?! Above all we remember her heart, her spirit and her love. Here's to you Pat - what adventures we had!
